A firm favourite from previous Lions Tours, our popular Gullivers Lions Clubhouse Events are back again in Australia. These are included in your package where highlighted in the itinerary. Previous events include sit down Q and A’s, lively pub events with live music, wine tastings and local rugby club events. With a great atmosphere and true rugby camaraderie, these included events are sure to be highlights of your trip. As always there will be opportunities to hear from Lions Legends, previous guests include Gavin Hastings, Ben Kay, Scott Gibbs, Richard Hill, Scott Quinnell, Martyn Williams and many more.
A major highlight of touring with Gullivers is the opportunity to see Ex Lions legends at our events. After the major success of NZ 2017 we are excited to unveil our travelling Lions Ambassadors for Australia shortly. They will be there in Australia and ready to share the joy of rugby touring with you! Joining them will be a variety of other familiar faces across the tour and events.

Make your own way to the airport, check in/drop your bags off and make your way through customs. Once through customs make your way to the gate to board your indirect flight to Australia.

Upon arrival into Brisbane, after clearing customs and immigration, your Tour Manager will meet you in the airport to transfer the group to your hotel to check in for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The Gold Coast's star attraction is its beaches, but the laid-back neighbourhoods and booming culinary scene are certain to impress too. The drive in from the airport will take approximately 1 hour.
This evening the group will get together with the Tour Manager for Welcome Drinks. Get to know your tour group and tour manager, reminisce on past tours and trips and share the excitement of the magic of The British & Irish Lions Tour ahead.
Meet with your Tour Manager and the rest of your group and enjoy a drink together. It's a great chance to get to know each other and have a relaxed start to the tour.
Today Gullivers Sports Travel host the first of our exclusive Gullivers Lions Clubhouse events. A firm favourite on previous Lions Tours, our events have included sit down Q&A's with former players, local rugby club events where we have immersed with the local rugby community and pub days with live music, food and drink. A great atmosphere with great camaraderie to build the excitement ahead of the first Test is the order of the day here. More details to follow.

Today is Melbourne's turn to host a Test match, the pivotal 2nd Test of the series. Can one of the 2 teams close out a 2-0 series victory here or will it all come down to the 3rd Test in Sydney? Make your way on foot or public transport to one of the world's most iconic stadiums, the MCG.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground is often considered the mecca of cricket and with a capacity of over 100,000, expect this to be a loud one!
Check out of your hotel this morning and transfer with the group to the airport to check in and clear security before boarding your indirect flight back home.

Picking up at your accommodation in a custom 4WD vehicle, this full day tour travels north along the picturesque Great Barrier Reef Drive on route to the World Heritage Listed, Daintree National Park.

For over 50,000 years, Cape Tribulation beach (Kalkajaka) has held immense cultural significance for the local Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal people, while providing modern day visitors the unique opportunity to witness the only place on earth where two World Heritage Listed sites converge - where rainforest meets the reef. The day concludes with a delicious tropical fruit ice-cream made from 100% locally sourced ingredients, followed by a cable ferry crossing back over the Daintree River before returning to your accommodation late afternoon.
