  • Day 1

    Arrive Australia

    Make your own way to your hotel to check in for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The city will be awash with a sea of red & yellow shirts in anticipation of the 1st Test vs the Wallabies.  The drive in from the airport to the Gold Coast is approximately just over 1 hour.

    This evening the group will get together with the Tour Manager for Welcome Drinks. Get to know your tour group and tour manager, reminisce on past tours and trips and share the excitement of the magic of The British & Irish Lions Tour ahead.

    Exclusive Gullivers Lions Clubhouse

    Today Gullivers Sports Travel host the first of our exclusive Gullivers Lions Clubhouse events. A firm favourite on previous Lions Tours, our events have included sit down Q&A's with former players, local rugby club events where we have immersed with the local rugby community and pub days with live music, food and drink. A great atmosphere with great camaraderie to build the excitement ahead of the first Test is the order of the day here. More details to follow.

    2nd Test - Wallabies v British & Irish Lions

    Today is Melbourne's turn to host a Test match, the pivotal 2nd Test of the series. Can one of the 2 teams close out a 2-0 series victory here or will it all come down to the 3rd Test in Sydney? Make your way on foot or public transport to one of the world's most iconic stadiums, the MCG. 

    The Melbourne Cricket Ground is often considered the mecca of cricket and with a capacity of over 100,000, expect this to be a loud one!

    Melbourne to Hunter Valley

    The climax of this epic adventure. The final Test of the series and the last opportunity to witness The British & Irish Lions play against Australia for the next 12 years. Will the series champion already have been crowned in Melbourne, or will it all come down to today?

Cairns – Cape Tribulation & Daintree Rainforest Day Tour - July 23rd 2025

Experience the diverse landscapes of the oldest continually surviving rainforest on the planet. 

Picking up at your accommodation in a custom 4WD vehicle, this full day tour travels north along the picturesque Great Barrier Reef Drive on route to the World Heritage Listed, Daintree National Park.

Enjoy light refreshments before embarking on a 1-hour Daintree River Cruise providing insight into the region’s unique flora and fauna including the estuarine crocodile, an infamous apex predator, at home amongst some of the world’s most biologically diverse mangrove habitat.

Back on land, enjoy an interpretive drive over the Alexandra Range, venturing into the heart of the oldest continually existing rainforest on earth. Join your expert local guide on an informative boardwalk tour while on the lookout for the elusive Southern Cassowary and prehistoric Boyd’s Rainforest Dragon. 

Discover ancient ferns, palms and enormous woody vines, while a myriad of epiphytes, climbing plants and orchids cling to the giant limbs and trunks of emergent rainforest trees. For over 50,000 years, Cape Tribulation beach (Kalkajaka) has held immense cultural significance for the local Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal people, while providing modern day visitors the unique opportunity to witness the only place on earth where two World Heritage Listed sites converge - where rainforest meets the reef. Hunter Valley – Brewery Tour - 29th July 2025

Spend the day in air-conditioned comfort during our Hunter Valley beer tour. Discover some of Australia’s best craft brewers with the help of your expert local guide as you sample the variety of brews and beverages created right here in the Hunter Valley. After pick up from your hotel, we head straight to the first brewery for our first stop of the day. Here we’ll take a tour of the facility and learn more about beer production in this region, followed by a tasting session. Having worked up an appetite, it’s time for a lunch of woodfired pizza and salads, accompanied by a choice of beer, wine or soft drink. This afternoon it’s time for more beer as we head to two more craft breweries to sample the varieties of brews and beverages created in the region, learning more about Australia’s favourite drink. Before our return to the hotel, there’s time for one more stop, a local distillery where we’ll sample vodka and liqueurs made locally in the Hunter Valley and learn more about the processes involved in their production.
